We are delighted to announce the Annual Alpha-1 Conference will take place on Friday 7th October 2016 beginning at 9.30am in Marino Institute of Education, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9.
We would like to invite all Alpha-1 patients and their families to attend, with a special welcome for newly diagnosed Alpha-1 individuals and their families. This year we are delighted to have Professor Robert Sandhaus, Medical Director of the US Alpha-1 Foundation as a guest speaker. We are also delighted to announce David Gillick, Irish international track and field athlete will open the day.
The exciting line-up of speakers includes Professor Gerry McElvaney, Alpha-1 specialist at Beaumont Hospital and Professor Graham Love, CEO of the Health Research Board. We will also be launching our new short film about Alpha-1 which was developed in conjunction with COPD Support Ireland.
Marino Institute is easily accessed from the M50 and is situated on Griffith Avenue on the north side of the city (see directions overleaf). Attendance is free of charge with tea and coffee in the morning and a complimentary lunch provided. Christmas cards will be on sale on the day, €5 for a pack of 10.
